The initial HearDis! delivery includes the following:
HearDis! Music Player
Power connector (incl. power adapter if necessary)
Network cable
3,5mm stereo jack to Cinch cable (RCA cable)
The best installation place in most cases is the server unit/rack (similar to image below). Make sure to choose a clean spot and consider the following:
Close to the amplifier/PA system
Close to power plug (permanent electricity supply)
Access to the network switch or network connector
Enough space for proper ventilation
First, connect the provided audio cable to your amplifier/PA system.
Plug the cable marked "Audio R" into the red input
Plug the cable marked "Audio L" into the white input
Be sure to connect to the corresponding input channel that you select on the amplifier (input, music source), e.g. AUX, Input A, Line A, ...
You might need to select the correct input channel on the rear panel (e.g. AUX, Input A, Line A, ...)
See examples below
Connect the power plug with the power socket
Use only the supplied power adapter
Plug the other end of the power supply (USB-C) into the media player
As soon as the player is properly connected, the power button will light up blue. Your player will start up and play music automatically within 30-90 seconds.
There are two USB-C ports, but only the one on the right (see picture) is suitable for the power connection!
Plug the provided network cable into the network socket on the media player.
Plug the other end of the cable into the network switch
Make sure the selected port on the switch is available and enabled for access by your IT department.
Verify that the connection is working (flashing green/yellow indicator lights on the player's network port)
The media player should now be identifiable on your network, visible with an IP address (router, DHCP table).
Detailed information for your IT teams
These domains need to be whitelisted:

These ports must be enabled:
443 TCP - Fore remote connection and content updates
123 UDP - For NTP time synchronisation

A blue LED in the power button means the player is on and running.
If the LED is red, the player has power but is currently switched off.
To start it up, press the power button once.
The player will boot up and start playing music automatically within 30–90 seconds.
If you need to disconnect the player from power, always shut it down first:
Press the power button once and wait until the LED changes from blue to red. Once the light is red, you can safely unplug the power cable.
We check on a regular basis to ensure that your online connection is working and that your player is updating properly - if there is a problem, we will get in touch with you.
Enjoy the music!
